JINAN, May 10 (Xinhua) -- A China-Europe freight train loaded with air-conditioning accessories, solar energy equipment and other goods departed from Jinan South Railway Station and will arrive in Budapest, Hungary in about 16 days, which marks so far the 5000th trip of "Qilu" China-Europe freight train since its debut, said General Administration of Customs (GAC) Monday.

Since 2019, annual operation of "Qilu" freight train has jumped from 1,000 to 1,800 trips within three and a half years.
It is learned that in order to promote the orderly development of "Qilu" China-Europe freight trains, Jinan Customs has constantly innovated supervision model and implemented convenience measures such as appointment customs clearance, so as to promote the integration of supervision between China-Europe freight train stations and the comprehensive bonded area.
Currently, there are 52 international operating routes of "Qilu" freight trains, which directly connect 54 cities in 23 countries along Belt and Road routes. The logistics channel built by "Qilu" freight trains has delivered trade commodities valuing over 47 billion yuan.
