BEIJING, May 9 (Xinhua) -- A complete set of equipment of a factory for vaccine production, shipped by Chinese-Polish Joint Stock Shipping Company, set sail for Morocco from Luojing wharf in east China's Shanghai on Sunday.
As the largest vaccine factory that China exports to Africa, the factory is expected to produce more than 20 kinds of vaccines including 3 kinds of COVID-19 vaccines in Africa after completion, which will meet the needs of more than 60 percent of the entire population on the African continent.
With a total area of nearly 40,000 cubic meters, the project contains 118 large factory modules, with the cargo covering an area of 10,000 square meters, equal to nearly 1.5 standard football fields.
It is learned that after the ship arrives at the Casablanca port, the cargo will be transported from the port to the destination for assembly immediately.
