BEIJING, April 22 (Xinhua) --166 foreign-invested enterprises have been newly set up in East China's Jiangxi Province in the first quarter of 2022, up 53.7 percent year on year, according to the Department of Commerce of Jiangxi on Thursday.
The province's total foreign investment contracted in the first quarter reached 2.602 billion U.S. dollars, with an increase of 109.21 percent on year.
Since 2022, Jiangxi has been actively launching online promotion meetings and signing activities to attract and guide foreign investment, covering electronic information, equipment manufacturing, new materials, modern service industries and other fields.
As a main carrier of foreign investment in Jiangxi, the province's development zones and industrial parks saw the actual utilization of foreign capital reaching 3.222 billion U.S. dollars in the first quarter, with an increase of 11.76 percent over a year ago, accounting for 83.19 percent of the province's total.
