The products transported this time mainly came from enterprises in Xianning and other regions of Hubei. Through Manzhouli land port, the train will head to Russia.
Wujiashan Station, also known as Wuhan Railway container center, was officially put into operation on September 5, 2010. This station is one of China's 18 railway container centers and also the only departure and terminal station of the China-Europe freight train in Hubei Province.
In recent years, due to the increasing demands for international trade in Yichang, Xiangyang, Shiyan, Xianning, exporting goods from these four cities are usually tailored to Wujiashan Station, in which the centralized customs declaration will be made before the designated China-Europe freight train departs there and bounds for Europe fully loaded.
A source with Wujiashan Station said that current freight train model will help Wuhan build a train assembly center in central China, and further establish Wuhan's status as a logistics hub in central region, Wuhan China-Europe freight trains are playing an important role in stimulating the economic development of Hubei and its surrounding areas.
