MILAN, March 24 (Class Editori) — New flagship stores, residential projects in the pipeline and boutique hotels in the most exotic locations: the initiatives of the Tonino Lamborghini Group in the real estate and hotel business are multiplying in Asia under the sign of a particular kind of luxury. "My idea of luxury has always consisted in a concept of lifestyle different from the traditional one. For me, it is not about wearing a precious accessory to be able to show it off to others. It is about the environment in which you live," Tonino Lamborghini, Founder of the Group and son of the inventor of the car which is now part of Volkswagen, explained.
The hospitality segment, which started with cafes and restaurants designed to offer an Italian style experience with branded beverage products, then expanded to five-star hotels. An unfortunate adventure at the beginning, with the opening of its first site in Aleppo in 2008 which was never finished due to the war that broke out in 2011 but resumed vigorously with the conquest of China. The launch of the Tonino Lamborghini Library Boutique Hotel in Suzhou was followed by the City Center Hotel in Kunshan and the Lake Side Hotel in Huangshi, while this spring will see the opening of the YiXing Resort, an eco-sustainable hotel set in hectares of tea cultivation.
Next summer should also see the opening of the two-tower complex in Chengdu, where commercial, cultural and residential activities will converge. Still in China, in the next few days there will be the opening of a flagship store of 240 square meters inside the Tianfu International Bonded Commercial Center in Chengdu, the first shopping mall in the province of Sichuan.
"There is a strong recovery in China and we have many projects in the pipeline. In January we launched the first Hotel Rosso, a new concept aimed at a young target and for which we expect other openings during 2022," Lamborghini explained. "Next summer we will also start building the Boutique Hotel Phuket project in Thailand, partnering with developer Utopia Corporation. The resort will open in 2025". But the company is not only focusing on East Asia. Last year, new real estate projects were launched in Brazil and Egypt as well, with a focus on residential buildings furnished with Tonino Lamborghini home interiors.
In Egypt, the construction of the New Capital Residences in Cairo is at 60%. It will feature 300 apartments part of the Atika residential project in what is going to be the new seat of government. "We also signed an agreement for a new project in Lahore, Pakistan, which we will present in May, and we are working on a building in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam," Lamborghini stated.
Finally, the resort in Sharm El Sheikh attached to the International Convention Center opened last December together with Global Conference Management (GCM) will be completed by the summer.
"We were the forerunners of designer buildings, symbol of that luxury to be experienced as a pleasure for oneself and not to be shown off. This segment is giving us great satisfaction," the entrepreneur, who in Brazil boasts two skyscrapers under construction in Balneário Camboriú and Sao Paulo, stated. "We are negotiating with our Brazilian partners for two other openings as well including Rio de Janeiro, where we have already found a plot of land".
