BEIJING, March 11 (Xinhua) -- The total revenue of JD Logistics, a Chinese logistics service provider, reached 104.7 billion yuan in 2021, surging 42.7 percent year on year, according to its latest annual report released on Thursday.
Its revenue from transactions with external customers reached 59.1 billion yuan, up 72.7 percent year on year and accounting for 56.5 percent of the total.
In 2021, the company had served more than 300,000 enterprises such as Anta Sports, Bosideng, Skechers, Volvo Group, Muji, etc.
JD Logistics continued to increase its research and development investment with a year-on-year increase of 37 percent in 2021, and formed technological products and solutions covering the industrial park, warehousing, sorting, transportation, distribution and other key links of the supply chain, according to the report.
As of December 31, 2021, the company had operated 43 large-scale intelligent logistics parks in 33 cities across China to improve delivery timeliness in remote areas.
Currently, JD Logistics has applied for more than 5,500 patents and software licenses, including more than 3,000 patents related to automation technology and AI technology.
Meanwhile, JD Logistics also promoted the construction of green supply chain, the use of recycling packaging, clean energy vehicles, and the digitalization of production and operation management in a bid to build the first "zero-carbon" logistics park in China in 2021.
