BEIJING, March 10 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese market offers a ray of hope for a number of overseas consumer goods producers as the increasing demand for high-quality products in the Chinese market and the improvement of digital marketing are expected to further support these producers' future performance and innovative products.
The brewer Budweiser Brewing Company APAC increased sales by 8.3 percent in fiscal year 2021, within which revenue in Chinese market and earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) surged by 18 percent and 28.7 percent respectively, with the sales in China rising 9.3 percent.
China is now becoming a bridgehead for Budweiser and other foreign companies to achieve innovative cooperation, said Yang Ke, CEO of Budweiser APAC.
Budweiser made significant progress in 2021 towards achieving the 2025 Sustainable Development Goals, with its Wuhan brewery as the first in the Chinese beer industry and Budweiser's global plant to achieve carbon neutrality. In addition, carbon emissions across the value chain were reduced by 15.5 percent compared to the 2017 base year.
Swiss health management brand Kingnature's total sales in China jumped by 73 percent year on year in 2021. The company has reached the cooperative intention with China Association of Rehabilitation Technology Transformation & Promotion (CARTTP) to expand the layout of big health in the Chinese market in 2022.
As of December 31, 2021, the sales of L'Oréal's in North Asia, with China as its core market, rose 18.6 percent year on year to 71.679 billion yuan, according to the brand's latest financial report.
China is now L'Oréal's second largest market globally, but it is only a matter of time before it becomes L'Oréal's largest market, said Fabrice Megarbane, President of North Asia Zone and CEO of L'Oréal China.
