BEIJING, March 7 (Xinhua) -- East China's Hefei city, capital of Anhui Province has operated a total of 141 standard China-Europe freight trains from January to February of 2022, an increase of 93.2 percent year on year, reported People's Daily Online citing statistics from Hefei International Land Port recently.

Since launched in 2014, China-Europe freight train from Hefei has continuously developed new business models and exploited new routes. The service scope has expanded to 16 countries and 67 cities, basically covering the whole Europe.
In order to boost the export of Anhui goods as well as expand the circle of friends around the world, Hefei has cooperated with other cities in the province and set inter-city directional cargo trains, with coverage of 16 cities in the province, and created opportunities for Anhui enterprises to go global.
Statistics showed that in the first two months of 2022, more than 80 percent of shipped goods of China-Europe freight trains departed from Hefei are provided by Anhui local enterprises.
