BEIJING, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- China's postal industry saw steady expansion in business revenue and parcels handled in January, data from the State Post Bureau showed.
The sector raked in over 127.11 billion yuan (about 20.1 billion U.S. dollars) last month, up 8.7 percent year on year, according to the bureau.
China's courier companies handled 8.77 billion parcels in January, up 3.3 percent from a year earlier. Their combined business revenue reached 91.73 billion yuan during the period, rising 5.7 percent year on year.
The bureau expected the courier industry's business revenue to reach 1.16 trillion yuan in 2022, up 12 percent from the previous year, with parcels handled totaling 122.5 billion.
