BEIJING, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- A freight train carrying 82 TEUs of goods departed from Hefei, east China's Anhui Province, and headed for Hanoi, Vietnam, on Wednesday, marking the first China-Europe freight train from Hefei to Hanoi.
The train, loaded with goods made in Anhui worth more than 1.36 million U.S. dollars, is expected to arrive in Hanoi in about three to four days.
It is learned that the China-Europe freight train (Hefei-Hanoi) will operate with fixed route and train number.
The launch of China-Europe freight train (Hefei-Hanoi) opens up a new logistics channel for goods made in Anhui to export to Southeast Asia.
Since the beginning of this year, Hefei has launched 103 China-Europe freight trains, including 67 outbound trains and 36 inbound trains, up 41.7 percent year on year.
