BEIJING, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- China's major excavator manufacturers saw their sales drop in January, industry data showed.
The country's 26 leading excavator makers sold a total of 15,607 units last month, down 20.4 percent year on year, according to the China Construction Machinery Association.
Domestic sales of the equipment decreased by 48.3 percent year on year to 8,282 units, while the excavator exports surged 104.9 percent from a year earlier to 7,325 units in January.
