BEIJING, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- A total of 92 international freight trains including 90 China-Europe freight trains and 2 freight trains on the China-Laos Railway have departed from the Yangtze River Delta during the week-long Spring Festival holiday, up 150 percent year on year, China Railway Shanghai Group Co.,Ltd. said on Monday.
During the Spring Festival holiday, a total of 44 freight trains have been handled in Zhejiang Province while 34 trains, 12 trains and 2 trains handled in Jiangsu Province, Anhui Province and Shanghai respectively.
Varieties of goods, including commodities, daily necessities, hardware building materials, mechanical equipment, intelligent home appliances were exported from China, and the imported goods included auto parts, and mineral resources, according to the the operator.
The 92 international freight trains were bound for Eurasian countries with an attempt to ensure the stability of international industrial and supply chains and promote the high-quality development of the Belt and Road initiative.
