BEIJING, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- AIA Life, a life insurance subsidiary of Asia's largest life insurer AIA, signed on Tuesday a strategic cooperation agreement with the Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital under Shanghai Jiao Tong University's School of Medicine, becoming the first insurance company to establish cooperation with the Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, reported Shanghai Securities News.
AIA and Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital will be committed to promoting and strengthening cross-border integration between commercial insurance institutions and medical institutions, building a whole process health management service system based on health care and disease protection.
AIA will actively cooperate with Shanghai Ninth People's Hospitalin many aspects including medical academic exchanges, health lectures and expert support.
AIA will align with the hospital's medical resources such as dental discipline, orthopedics and ophthalmology to help customers have a better medical experience. In the process of customers' medical treatment, AIA will allocate medical service staffs to create a new model of commercial insurance service with the professional advantages of the Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital.
In the future, AIA looks forward to working with more partners from different industries to move from "insuring against sickness" to "promoting health" and continue to lead the industry in sustainable, high-quality development, said Zhang Xiaoyu, CEO of AIA Life.
