InfoQuest (January 18, 2022) - According to Mr. Alongkō̜Phonlabut, Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand, China has opened four major border crossings, including Mohan-Boten Port, Youyi Port, Pingxiang Port, and Dongxing Port. The Ministry calls on Thai enterprises to seize the opportunity to expand fruit exports to China.

Thailand and China agreed to hold the joint meeting between Thailand's Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives and China's Ministry of Agriculture at the end of the month and the SPS Conference on Pandemic Prevention Measures in the next month.

The fruit shipping at the Port of Laem Chabang has been improved and a number of shipping companies have opened services, sending a positive message since the early of this year.

Export enterprises are expected to strictly implement relevant pandemic response measures. Despite such issues as container shortage, and a sharp increase in ocean freight last year, Thailand's fruit exports to China reached a record high in the last 11 months, registering more than 150 billion baht. Thailand accounts for 45 percent of China's imported market, ranking first. The Ministry calls on all departments to make joint efforts to raise the fruit exports to a new level this year.
