BEIJING, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) --The scale of China's advertising market was expected to exceed one trillion yuan this year, Chinanews.com reported.
In 2020, the country's online advertising market expanded 18.6 percent year on year to the size of 766.6 billion yuan, Ren Xianliang, director of the China Federation of Internet Societies, said at the 28th China International Advertising Festival, which kicked off on last Saturday in Xiamen, a coastal city in east China's Fujian Province.
Statistics showed that China's leading advertising enterprises and institutions saw their revenues of advertising business reach 940 billion yuan in the first three quarter of this year, an increase of 21 percent from the same period of last year.
Joel Edmund Nettey, chairman of International Advertising Association, said that China has been becoming a major player in the global marketing communications industry and witnessed its size and significance of the advertising industry grow rapidly over the past years.(Edited by Yang Yifan with Xinhua Silk Road, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
