BEIJING, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- Wutong Holding Group Co., Ltd., a Chinese telecommunication manufacturing company, announced on Wednesday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on strategic cooperation with Mobix Labs, a U.S. semiconductor company.
The two sides have agreed to give full play to their complementary advantages in resources, technologies and brands in order to achieve win-win cooperation by strengthening and accelerating joint efforts in developing information and communications technology (ICT) core components.
Combining Mobix Labs' rich experience and resources in chip R&D with Wutong's knowledge on the Chinese market and its basic telecommunication products of considerable competence, the two companies are expected to immediately start comprehensive cooperation in fields such as millimeter-wave chips, optical modules and active optical cable (AOC) telecommunication solutions.
According to the agreement, Mobix Labs will provide Wutong with technical support and sales service in international markets outside of China, whereas Wutong will serve as the joint original design manufacturer (ODM) for Mobix Labs' AOC products and will see to the promotion, sales and technical support of the U.S. company's products in the Chinese market.
The two sides will continue to explore more possibilities for further cooperation, in a bid to jointly expand their business scope to areas that appear optimistic to both.
