BEIJING, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- The first China (Wuhan) Culture and Tourism Expo kicked off on Friday in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province, to further strengthen international exchanges and cooperation through cultural and tourism industry.
With the theme of "Beautiful China, Happy Life," the expo attracted more than 1,000 cultural and tourism enterprises from home and abroad, as well as tourism authorities and organizations from 15 countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Portugal, and Switzerland, to supply exhibits at the expo and appreciate new forms of China's cultural and tourism industry.

Covering a total area of 60,000 square meters, the expo is well equipped with a comprehensive exhibition hall to display Chinese cultures such as the Yangtze River and the Silk Road historical culture and eight exhibition areas showcasing the charming scenery of Chinese provinces and regions.
Meanwhile, the event also holds fairs, theatrical performances, promotions, project investment, product exhibitions and sales, and other related tourism activities, showing the new vitality of China's cultural industry.

Hosted jointly by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Hubei provincial government, the three-day event will last until November 28. (Edited by Jiang Feifan with Xinhua Silk Road, 346129473@qq.com)
