BEIJING, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- Forum on the Development of New Energy Vehicle Industry is to kick off on Saturday in Hefei, capital city of east China’s Anhui province, with theme on deepening international exchanges and cooperation for the creation of “smart future” with zero emissions.
As one of the parallel forums of the 2021 World Manufacturing Convention, it will feature technology cooperation between Chinese and German vehicle makers, innovation and coordination of the upstream and downstream industries, and the construction of healthy and sustainable industry environments, with aim to promote high-quality development of the new energy vehicle industry.
Experts and representatives, from industry associations and car enterprises such as Volkswagen, JAC Group and Gotion High-tech, will attend the forum, with discussions of topics such as opportunities for new energy autos against the background of China’s energy transformation, cutting edge technologies for new energy vehicles and smart autos, as well as international cooperation in these fields.
During the forum, the China New Energy Vehicle Industry High-quality Development Report 2021 will be jointly released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and China Economic Information Service, which includes current development of the new energy vehicle industry both at home and abroad, and the pathways for the high-quality development of the industry.
The fourth World Manufacturing Convention is about to kick off on Friday, featuring various industrial seminars, business matchmaking events, and exhibitions of new energy vehicles, intelligent manufacturing, imported products, among others. (Edited by Wang Sheng, Jiang Yujuan jiangyj@xinhua.org)
