InfoQuest (November 16, 2021) -- The Thai economy is projected to increase by 1.2 percent this year, according to data from the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC). Headline inflation is estimated to be at 1.2 percent and export growth at 16.8 percent. It is predicted that there are about 200,000 foreign tourists this year.
Meanwhile, NESDC expected the Thai economy to expand around 3.5-4.5 percent next year, supported by recovery in domestic demand, expansion of exports of goods, the regaining of tourism sector. Five million foreign tourists are expected to visit Thailand next year, generating about 440 billion baht in revenue.
