BEIJING, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- The cities in China are growing fast, reported China Securities Journal quoting the 2021 Global Cities Report released by global management consulting firm Kearney on Monday.
Comprised of the Global Cities Index (GCI) and the Global Cities Outlook (GCO), the Global Cities Report provides a comprehensive analysis of global cities' current competitiveness and future prospects.
Based on a comprehensive analysis of more than 230 major cities around the world, the 2021 Global Cities Index has had 156 cities on the list, including 31 Chinese cities.
This year's index shows that cities in Europe and the United States remain in the lead, while Asian cities quickly catch up and Chinese cities have the highest growth rate.
In the 2021-eidition index, Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai are among the world's top 10 cities, matching the number of U.S. cities on the list, namely New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, and exceeding that of Europe and other Asia-Pacific regions which both stand at 2.
Other Chinese cities, like Hangzhou, Chengdu, Changsha, Xi'an and Suzhou, have achieved rise in both scores and rankings, thanks to more refined governance, better business environment, more creative city style, and more resilient connectivity.
