The taxation department of Qingdao, a coastal city in eastern China's Shandong Province, has put into use the intelligent information service platform, realizing an efficient and collaboration service model in which one tax officer handles business for four clients at the same time, which marks a landmark progress of Qingdao in the field of government affairs innovation.
By the end of July, the taxation department in Qingdao, which is equipped with the efficient service platform, has reduced the original 20 manual services windows to five optimized ones, further improving the efficient of taxation processing.
Besides Shandong province, to strengthen digital development, some other provinces and regions in China have also rolled out multiple measures to promote digitalization to facilitate economic development in recent years.
South China's Guangdong stated in a provincial government document on accelerating digital development issued in May this year that the province will focus on four major areas of digital ecology, digital economy, digital society, and digital government, and develop the province into a leading digital demonstration area in the world.
Guangdong will also give priority to the construction of a convenient government service system, and it is expected to travel to new business forms of coordinated development of smart connected cars and smart transportation.
In addition, Chinese provinces and regions including Zhejiang, Shanghai, Tianjin, Beijing and other places have also issued relevant planning documents for accelerating digital development.
