BEIJING, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- The European subsidiary company of China's leading automobile manufacturer SAIC Motor officially announced that its pure electric flagship car MARVEL R would be priced from 39,990 to 47,990 euros in the European market, during an online press conference held last Thursday.
The high-end electric car launched this time has attracted wide attention from hundreds of overseas media including AFP,Le Figaroand Automotive News Europe, which gave high praise to the new model.
Up to now, SAIC's products and services have entered more than 70 countries and regions around the world, with three R&D and innovation centers having been built in London, Silicon Valley, and Tel Aviv, as well as four production bases in Thailand, Indonesia, India, and Pakistanand also KD factory.
From January to August, SAIC's sales in overseas market exceeded 370,000 units, with a year-on-year increase of 106.4 percent, ranking first among Chinese auto companies in overseas sales. Among them, the overseas sales of SAIC's MG brand reached 182,000 units, with an increase of 83.9 percent year-on-year.
According to its plan, SAIC's overseas sales is expected to reach 550,000 units this year and 1.5 million by 2025.
During the online press conference, SAIC's MG ZS EV, which realized a cumulative sales of more than 28,000 units in Europe, also released its new upgraded model.
