Jingdezhen, known as China's ceramic capital, has four expressway entrance or exit points, which have become the city gates with cultural characteristics after reconstruction and extension in recent years.
On the afternoon of April 8, entering Jingdezhen East Toll Station along Jingdezhen-Wuyuan-Huangshan Expressway, the journalist saw strong Huizhou-style white walls and dark green tile, ornamental trees and shrubs on both sides of the road, and stepped loess slope, highlighting the overall image of the east gate of Jingdezhen.
Ceramic Art Avenue is a must-go place when you come to Jingdezhen.
A group of young people display their creative products on small booths under the uniform canopy on both sides of the avenue on April 9.
"Here, I can do what I like," said Lai Yuan, who majored in ceramic arts and crafts. She has become a stall owner since her junior internship. "Ceramic Art Avenue is a wonderful place for young people to start our own businesses," she said.
On Lai's booth, the traditional God of Door image was transformed into cartoon characters on porcelain plates. With added fashion elements, such mythological ceramic paintings attracted many young tourists.
Over the past two years, Lai buried herself in painting during the day and took her ceramic products to the market at night. "I have applied for a store at Yi Space, and I am going to realize my dream in Jingdezhen," said Lai.
Jingdezhen is no stranger to youths like Lai. On Fridays and Saturdays, they gather at the Ceramic Art Avenue Creative Market to display and sell cultural and creative products such as ceramics, handmade leather goods and fabric products.
ooths, and now we have 700 ones. Many stall owners have become Yi Space vendors. The avenue is home to 17,000 Jingdezhen drifters," said Liu Yukun, head of Yi Space. Launched in 2016, the Creative Market integrates the night economy with Jingdezhen's unique ceramic culture and tourism and creates a night scene dominated by ceramic culture creativity. It not only provides a stage for Jingdezhen drifters, but also enriches the night economy, night culture and night life of the ceramic capital.
"We used to patronize ancient kilns and sculpture streets; now we can appreciate experience the vitality of ceramic culture on the Ceramic Art Avenue," said Mr. Li from Shanghai. Mr. Li and his friends shop for their favorite cultural and creative ceramic products at the night market.
More and more tourists like Mr. Li come here and return home contentedly; young people like Lai Yuan seem to have completed a ceramic culture transmission with tourists, enjoying the "banquet" on the Ceramic Art Avenue together. (Source: jxcn.cn)
