On August 28, 2020, the yangjingpiao ("foreigner who lives and work in Jingdezhen") Ryan Lar-Bar from the U.S. celebrated his 45th birthday, in Jingdezhen. This year is the fifth year that Lar-Bar has lived in the pottery capital of China. He set up a studio here, pursued and realized his dream, got a cat and a dog, and even met his true love.
Within a few years, Jingdezhen felt like home for Lar-Bar. He has witnessed the town's evolution. The Taoxichuan Creative Plaza encourages artists to create artworks and advance their careers. This is the most exciting element for Lar-Bar. To him, Jingdezhen is full of opportunities and creative potential, and anything can happen. He said, "The unique creative environment in Jingdezhen allows ideas to be fully realized, not only for me, but also for other people who come here to create." (Source: peoplesdaily.pdnews.cn)
