ISTANBUL, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- The Turkish branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) collected 12 prizes at the 2020 Vision Awards, organized by the League of American Communication Professionals (LACP), ICBC said in a press release on Friday.
ICBC Turkey won six platinum and six gold awards in the Commercial Banks and Diversified Financial Services categories for its 2020 annual reports.
Receiving a total of 12 prizes is "a very valuable and honorary result" for the subsidiary, the chairman of ICBC Turkey Gao Xiangyang said. Established in 2015, ICBC Turkey is the first Chinese bank that started operations in Turkey.
"We have been successfully conducting our financial activities in Turkey for six years with our versatile business model that includes commercial, retail, and investment banking," Gao was quoted as saying.
The chairman also pointed out that ICBC would continue to expand its business scope for its clients who conduct business with China and local companies with Chinese capital in the next period.
LACP is one of the most prestigious platforms in the public relations industry, setting the standards for excellence in communication.
ICBC is China's largest commercial bank and the world's largest bank by assets, and ICBC Turkey was established after the banking giant acquired the majority share of Turkey's Tekstilbank in May 2015. It has been licensed for commercial banking, investment banking, and asset management. Enditem
