BEIJING, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Lingang Area of Shanghai free trade zone (FTZ) on Wednesday unveiled a three-year (2021-2023) action plan to promote development of industrial Internet and accelerate the digital transformation.
Lingang Area will comprehensively promote industrial Internet application innovation in key industries, build more than 50 industrial Internet demonstration scenarios, and forge five leading industrial Internet enterprises with industry influence by 2023.
Meanwhile, during the three-year period, Lingang Area will formulate no less than 10 industrial Internet standards, cultivate ten industrial Internet solution service providers, and guide no less than 100 enterprises to use cloud services for digital transformation.
Shanghai FTZ, the first pilot FTZ in the country, was established with initial coverage only on Pudong in August 2013 and the Lingang Area, a new section of the Shanghai FTZ, was added in 2019. (Edited by Hu Pingchao with Xinhua Silk Road, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
