Bank of China branch to offer Pakistani students internship opportunities

Abstract : The Bank of China Limited-Pakistan Operations based in the southern Pakistani port city of Karachi will provide Pakistani students with internship opportunities after signing an agreement with the Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi on Wednesday.

ISLAMABAD, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- The Bank of China Limited-Pakistan Operations based in the southern Pakistani port city of Karachi will provide Pakistani students with internship opportunities after signing an agreement with the Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi on Wednesday.

Addressing the signing ceremony held in Karachi, the provincial capital of Sindh province, via video link, Consul General of China to Karachi Li Bijian said that both the Bank of China Limited-Pakistan Operations and the Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi have served as a bridge to promote exchanges and cooperation between China and Pakistan.

The internship program is innovative win-win cooperation and beneficial exploration to help Pakistani students better understand the culture of Chinese enterprises and learn from China's development experience, Li said.

Thanking the company for offering the internship opportunities, Muhammad Nasiruddin Khan, Pakistani director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi, said the program is important for enriching the teaching mechanism of the institute and will further deepen the bilateral relations between the two countries.

On the occasion, Wang Jie, chief executive officer of the Bank of China Limited-Pakistan Operations said the internship program will serve as a window for Pakistani students to learn about Chinese enterprises and pave the way for their future career. Enditem
