BEIJING, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- China Life Insurance Company Limited (601628.SH), one of the country's biggest insurers, has served more than 793 million customers in total in 2020, according to the company's 2020 Corporate Social Responsibility Report released recently, the Shanghai Securities News reported Wednesday.
In 2020, China Life's consolidated operating income was 997.7 billion yuan and the consolidated premium income was over 751.8 billion yuan, with the consolidated total assets exceeding 5 trillion yuan, all hitting record highs.
As of the end of 2020, the company has invested 1.2 trillion yuan in areas such as the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, and the direct investment in the real economy has exceeded 2.8 trillion yuan.
In addition, China Life has carried out more than 220 critical illness insurance projects, covering nearly 400 million urban and rural residents, and launched agricultural insurance business across the country, providing a total of 2.54 trillion yuan in risk protection for 93.33 million households.
At the same time, China Life continued to promote the harmonious development of corporate operations and the social ecological environment, providing property risk protection of 966.6 billion yuan for more than 13,000 green industry enterprises, adding 30.6 billion yuan in green investment, and the green credit balance exceeded 30 billion yuan, which has contributed to winning the battle against pollution.
