BEIJING, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) will formulate a plan for industrial green development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period from 2021 to 2025, according to the ministry on Friday.
The country will encourage and expand the comprehensive utilization of waste plastics through technological innovation and other methods.
Meanwhile, the country will make efforts to cultivate key enterprises involving the comprehensive utilization of waste plastics, and persistently release the list of enterprises that meet the requirements of the industry standards, so as to guide plastic product manufacturers to implement green design in accordance with the concept of full life cycle.
The ministry will also promote the formulation and revision of standards in the field of plastic recycling, improve the degradable material standard system, evaluation system and labeling system, and guide the development, promotion and application of biodegradable plastics and its series of products.
