CDI's industrial supplier selection platform could help find high-quality Chinese industrial products and suppliers for overseas buyers based upon big data and selection algorithm.
Industrial procurement process spans long and wide and subjected to complex scenarios such as industrial ecology changes and evolution, according to CDI founder Yu Yao, noting that the problems of information access and trust are difficult to solve through traditional e-commerce model.
The industrial supplier selection platform is designed to tackle such proplems of information access and trust building between domestic and foreign companies through massive data, fair and open corporate credit information, and platform algorithms, Yu noted.
Next, CDI plans to join hands with the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese to set up service organizations overseas to provide language, technology, overseas warehouses and other services for facilitating both the supply and demand sides of cross-border e-commerce, better bridging bilateral trade while injecting new impetus into cross-border business.
It is noted that CDI so far has mapped out and started to build cross-border industrial supplier selection platforms in more than 50 Belt and Road related countries and regions.
