BEIJING, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Shanxi Environment and Energy Exchange and Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange recently signed an agreement in Taiyuan, capital city of north China's Shanxi Province, to speed up carbon market development and push forward transformation in energy production and consumption.
The two sides will co-build a training base in Taiyuan under the national carbon market capacity building (Shanghai) center to better equip Shanxi with carbon trading capabilities needed for realizing carbon peak and neutrality goals, reported local newspaper Shanxi daily.
It is noted that Shanxi Environment and Energy Exchange has abundant experience in carbon trading mechanism design, carbon market operation and management as well as carbon finance innovation while Shanxi Environment and Energy Exchange has developed rapidly in the areas of green finance services, excessive capacity solutions, and environmental right services.
