BEIJING, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- The 38th China Pharmaceutical Industry Information Annual Conference was kicked off in Jinan, capital city of east China's Shandong Province on July 31 and will last till August 3 to discuss the way forward towards a high-quality pharmaceutical ecosystem.
This year's conference brings such topics under the spotlight as pharmaceutical innovation and research and development (R&D), pediatric drug development, centralized procurement of medical consumables, scientific supervision of pharmaceuticals, industry-capital docking, hoping to advance quality and efficiency improvement, as well as the change of growth drivers of the pharmaceutical ecosystem, reported Economic Information Daily.
It is noted that the list of annual "China's Pharmaceutical Industry Top 100", a major highlight of the conference, was released on Sunday with China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation,Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group and Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited crowned the top 3.
As one of the first batch of pilot cities for the construction of national health city, Jinan boasts profound foundation, long medical history, as well as advantages of superior and convenient transportation location, high-end resources, vigorous industrial ecology, comprehensive and generous policy support, and promising strategic opportunities, said Sun Shutao, Mayor of Jinan in his address Sunday.
It is noted that the conference is under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and local government and hosted by China National Pharmaceutical Industry Information Center.
