BEIJING, July 8 (Xinhua) – South China's Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP) has launched 15 major projects involving a total investment of 31.3 billion yuan as of June 15 since the year begin, accounting for 40 percent of the province's planned investment this year, reported hnftp.gov.cn Wednesday.
As a demonstration project of boosting Hainan's international tourism, the International duty free shopping mall in Haikou, the capital city of Hainan province, has completed 29 percent of its planned investment this year by June 15, which is expected to inject impetus into Hainan's duty-free shopping industry after put into operation.
Meanwhile, the second phase of the nuclear power plant project in Changjiang County has completed 48 percent of its annual planned investment in 2021, while 45 percent of annual planned investment has been completed in the construction of the G360 high-way project, an important expressway linking Wenchang and Lingao cities.
Hainan Province plans to invest a total of 78.2 billion yuan in 129 major projects this year, involving the three leading industries of tourism, modern service, and high-tech in Hainan.
The total include 97 continued projects with a total investment of 336.7 billion yuan and planned investment of 64.4 billion yuan this year, 10 completed projects with a total investment of 10.2 billion yuan and planned investment 4.4 billion yuan this year, 22 new projects with a total investment of 34.1 billion yuan and planned investment 9.4 billion yuan this year.
