BEIJING, July 5 (Xinhua) -- In the first half of this year, the total number of China-Europe freight trains through northeast China's Suifenhe railway port reached 214, an increase of 167.5 percent year on year, reported CGTN recently.
Affected by the epidemic, the global supply chain has tightened, and China-Europe freight train has become an effective carrier to ensure rapid circulation of trade goods. As an important node of the Belt and Road route, Suifenhe has operated 59 inbound and outbound China-Europe freight trains in June, an increase of 47.5 percent month on month and 247 percent year on year.
It is learned that the China-Europe freight trains leaving Suifenhe railway port carry cargo of organic electrical equipment, household appliances, auto parts, etc., through Russia to Poland, Germany, Belgium and other countries. The inbound China-Europe freight trains carry goods including plates, grains, sweets, alcohol produced in the Far East, mainly to Chengdu, Zhengzhou, Nanchang and other places.
Besides, the city has fully utilized digital port system to share information with customs and freight companies to conduct cargo inspections in advance and open up green channels, which effectively improves the efficiency of customs clearance for trains.
