The HDVC project is a key project development by China and Pakistan under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
It consists of two 660 kv HDVC converter stations, 886 kilometers of HDVC transmission lines and related supporting facilities.
The project will form a large power transmission network with the highest voltage level, the largest transmission capacity and the longest transmission distance in Pakistan.
The operation of this project is expected to effectively relieve the power supply pressure in Pakistan and feed people's electricity demand.
