BEIJING, June 12 (Xinhua) --A webinar on "Green Silk Road to SinePark: Attraction of international talents and business projects" jointly organized by Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Sino-Italy Ningbo Ecological Park (SinePark), Silk Council Association and Dong & Partners International Law Firm was convened on Friday.

Representatives from the organizers made presentations on the webinar, introducing the efforts made in recent years by east China's Ningbo city as an important contributor to the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the SinePark's development and also discussing future chances of Sino-Italian cooperation under green Silk Road.
Located in east China's Zhejiang Province, Ningbo provides mass business opportunities as an important city along the Belt and Road. In recent years, Ningbo has hosted various high-level events including the just concluded second China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Expo to share its development opportunities and expand international cooperation, said Zhang Qionghua, Chief Economist of the Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Commerce.

As a comprehensive pilot zone for the Belt and Road construction, Ningbo has complete industrial facilities among which its Zhoushan Port is one of the world's most important container ocean line ports with its annual cargo throughput topping the world for 12 consecutive years. Meanwhile, two trillion yuan-level industrial clusters have been built in Ningbo including green petrochemical and automobile manufacturing, Zhang added.
The SinePark, founded in Yuyao of Ningbo in 2015, is a unique ecological park in Zhejiang Province and one of the eight state-level parks for international cooperation in China. The SinePark focuses on industrial development of new energy vehicles, new materials, eco-friendly industrial base, life & health, and general aviation, introduced by Li Jian, General Services Bureau Vice Director Sino-Italy Ningbo Ecological Park Administrative Committee.
During the webinar, Roberto Cerutti, CEO of an Italian automotive wiring harness company Patelec, also talked about the successful experience of an Italian company in the Chinese market and in particular within the Sinepark.
Li Yue, Vice President and Board Member of China Economic Information Service (CEIS) provided an overview of the Green Silk Road and the role of Xinhua Silk Road of CEIS as "Infoport", "Brain Trust" and "Friendship Bridge" for Sino-foreign cooperation especially in the green sector. In the future, CEIS will make more efforts to promote Sino-Italian commercial and industrial cooperation.

The Silk Council, one of the organizers of the webinar, is an association that promotes multilateral and open cooperation between public institutions, embassies, financial institutions, entrepreneurs, individuals, academic, scientific, cultural, social and economic entities in different countries along the Belt and Road, fostering the creation of international synergies at a multidisciplinary level, according to Dong Lifang, President of the Silk Council Association and Founder Managing Partner of the international law firm Dong & Partners.
The webinar also attracted participants from Italy, Switzerland, Europe, USA, Chinese mainland, China's Taiwan and Hong Kong, Africa and Australia.
