BEIJING, June 9 (Xinhua) – The combined business revenue of China's internet enterprises above designated scale increased 27.8 percent year on year to 467.6 billion yuan in the first four months of the year, official data showed recently.
During the period, the operating profits of the enterprises stood at 44.51 billion yuan, up 27 percent compared with the same period last year.
Meanwhile, the relevant enterprises spent 23.64 billion yuan on research and development from January to April period, up 19.3 percent year on year.
In the first four months, the revenue of information service business increased by 15.9 percent year on year, of which revenue from internet platform service business maintained rapid growth, with a year on year growth of 63.1 percent in the period.
In addition, the business revenue of online sales and life service platforms also reported significant growth in the first four months.
