BEIJING, May 25(Xinhua) -- Service trade of South China's Hainan province hit 8.165 billion yuan in the first four months this year, a year-on-year increase of 51.32 percent with rapid growth in emerging service trade, reported Hainan Daily citing statistics from Hainan Provincial Department of Commerce.

According to statistics, during the period, the value of the province's service imports stood at 5.682 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 66.68 percent, while that of service exports at 2.483 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.96 percent.
Trade volume in the telecommunications and computer information sectors approached 3 billion yuan, and that in transportation services and intellectual property exceeded 2 billion yuan and 1 billion yuan, respectively. Above three sectors together accounted for 78 percent of total service trade.
Among the province's 108 service trading partners, Singapore, Hong Kong, the United States, Japanand the UK accumulatively contributed 80.28 percent to the total foreign trade of the province.
