BEIJING, May 22 (Xinhua) -- China's stamp tax revenue soared 49.6 percent year on year to 160 billion yuan (about 24.88 billion U.S. dollars) in the first four months of the year, official data showed.
During the period, stock trading stamp tax revenue surged 57.9 percent from a year ago to 102.5 billion yuan, according to the Ministry of Finance.
This marks active trading in the country's booming capital market.
In the January-April period, the country's fiscal revenue increased 25.5 percent year on year to exceed 7.8 trillion yuan, data from the ministry showed. Enditem
