BEIJING, May 22 (Xinhua) -- Themed on "New Pattern, New Development and New Finance", the 2021 Tsinghua PBCSF Global Finance Forum kicked off on Saturday in Beijing, capital of China.
The two-day event, held both online and offline, has attracted guests from governments, businesses and academic communities at home and abroad to discuss the current and future of the world's and China's economy and finance under the influence of the COVID-19 epidemic.

At the opening ceremony, Qiu Yong, president of Tsinghua University and member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Zhang Xiaohui, dean of Tsinghua PBCSF, gave the opening remarks on behalf of Tsinghua University, the host of the forum.
During the two-day event, 10 plenary sessions will be held focusing on diverse topics including the new dual circulation development pattern and financial reform and opening-up, global economic governance under the changing world, building the new order of financial supervision, with the 2021 Semiannual Report of China's Systemic Financial Risk and China Financial Policy Report 2021 to be released on site.
The Tsinghua PBCSF Global Finance Forum has been successfully held for six sessions, becoming a high-quality forum with high attention from home and abroad.
This year's forum is hosted by Tsinghua University, organized by Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance (PBCSF) and Institute for National Governance and Global Governance of Tsinghua University, and co-organized by Tsinghua University National Institute of Financial Research (NIFR) and Tsinghua University Institute for Fintech Research (THUIFR).
