BEIJING, April 20 (Xinhua) -- Chengdu, the capital city of southwest China's Sichuan Province strives to achieve 50 billion yuan in intelligent manufacturing industrial scale by the end of 2023, said an action plan recently.
According to the action plan, by the end of 2023, Chengdu plans to build 20 well-known domestic industrial Internet platforms with significant advantages, cultivate 10 local intelligent manufacturing system solution suppliers, build 300 digital workshops and 50 smart factories, and cultivate 10 national and even global leading benchmark smart factories.
Chengdu will also vigorously support the construction of provincial manufacturing innovation centers such as the Sichuan Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Center and the Industrial Information Security Innovation Center, and encourage enterprises to create key laboratories, engineering laboratories at or above the provincial level.
At present, the scale of Chengdu's core intelligent manufacturing industry has reached 38 billion yuan, the scale of the entire industry chain has exceeded 116 billion yuan, and the penetration rate of enterprises' digital R&D design tools has reached 76.4 percent.
