BEIJING, April 12(Xinhua) -- Northwest China's Gansu province completed fixed assets investment of 807 million yuan in water conservancy in the first quarter of 2021, an increase of 321 million yuan or 66 percent over the same period of 2020, reported Gansu Daily on last Saturday.
It is learned during the period of 2016-2020, Gansu's investment in water conservancy totaled 75.2 billion yuan, 1.46 times that of the 12th Five-Year Plan period(2011-2015), accounting for 43 percent of the province's total investment in water conservancy since the founding of the People's Republic of China, with province's newly added water supply capacity reaching 750 million cubic meters.
Moreover, Gansu strives to improve the level of water supply security by 2025 with its water supply capacity reaching about 500 million cubic meters.
