NANNING, April 9 (Xinhua) -- SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW), a major Chinese automobile manufacturer, reported strong vehicle sales in the first quarter of 2021, the company said.
SGMW, a joint venture between SAIC Motor, General Motors and Liuzhou Wuling Motors, sold 457,164 vehicles during the January-March period, up 75 percent year on year.
Its exports gained 50 percent year on year to 31,055 units during the period.
Among the total sales, SGMW sold 103,932 small electric vehicles in the quarter, including 93,814 units of its Hongguang MINI EV.
SGMW is based in Liuzhou, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Enditem
