BEIJING, April 9 (Xinhua) -- A total of 37 Chinese mobile game publishers garnered over 2.29 billion U.S. dollars in worldwide revenues in March, according to Sensor Tower, a mobile app data analysis firm.
The figure accounts for 39.6 percent of the total revenue in the global mobile gaming market last month, the firm said.
Tencent, NetEase and miHoYo are among the top three Chinese game developers on the list.
It is noted that the income from overseas markets has become the most powerful growth engine for these Chinese game publishers.
Last year, the top 30 profitable Chinese mobile games raked in 9.24 billion U.S. dollars from the App Store and Google Play last year, up 47 percent year on year from 6.3 billion dollars in 2019. (Edited by Yang Yifan with Xinhua Silk Road, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
