SHENZHEN, March 31 (Xinhua) -- Chinese hi-tech giant Huawei saw steady growth in 2020, with its global sales revenue posting a year-on-year rise of 3.8 percent to 891.4 billion yuan (about 136.1 billion U.S. dollars), according to its 2020 financial report released Wednesday.
The report shows the company's net profit edging up 3.2 percent year on year to 64.6 billion yuan last year.
Huawei's enterprise business expanded by 23 percent over the previous year in 2020 to 100.3 billion yuan, and its revenue from the carrier business remained stable at 302.6 billion yuan, while the consumer business grew by 3.3 percent year-on-year to 482.9 billion yuan.
All three business areas continued to prop up the solid development of Huawei in 2020.
In the future, the company will stick to its two major business directions -- enabling social digital transformation and creating intelligent living in all scenarios, according to Ken Hu, Huawei's rotating chairman.
"Over the past year, we've held strong in the face of adversity," said Hu.
The company will continue to innovate to create value for its customers, help fight the pandemic and support both economic recovery and social progress around the world, Hu added. Enditem
