BEIJING, March 30(Xinhua) -- China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation(CCECC) has recently signed a contract for contruction of Atico-Quilca highway project with the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Peru.
Earlier this month, CCECC received a letter of award for Cañete to Pampas highway project from the bureau.
Located in the Arequipa region of southern Peru, the Atico-Quilca highway is part of the most important transportation artery in Latin America, Pan-American Highways.
Designed with a construction period of 1 year, this project is the first asphalt recycling project undertaken by CCECC in Latin America, marking the company's highway engineering project implementation in Peru to a new level.
CCECC has also won the bidding for the Cañete-Pampas highway project recently, upon which the number of projects undertaken by CCECC in Peru totaled 10, covering eight regions in the country.
These projects will play an important role in the improvement of people's livelihood and economic development along the routes.
