NANNING, March 14 (Xinhua) -- SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW), a major Chinese automobile manufacturer, reported strong new energy vehicle (NEV) sales in the first two months of 2021, the company has said.
SGMW, a joint venture between SAIC Motor, General Motors, and Liuzhou Wuling Motors, registered record NEV sales of 59,315 units in the January-February period.
SGMW produces NEV models including the Hongguang MINI EV, the new Baojun E300, the Baojun E100, and the Baojun E200.
The Hongguang MINI EV achieved robust sales of more than 36,000 units in January. As of March 4, total sales of the model have exceeded 200,000 units since it was launched 200 days ago, according to the company.
SGMW is based in Liuzhou, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Enditem
