BEIJING, March 8 (Xinhua) -- Tesla saw its super charging piles in the Chinese mainland exceeded 6,000 as of March, reported Shanghai Securities Journal citing statistics from the company officially.
In February this year, Tesla put 218 Tesla super charging piles into use nationwide in 21 cities including Beijing, Qingdao and Xi'an. In Shenzhen, the company launched 6 Tesla super charging stations, with a total of 51 super charging piles.
After entering Chinese market at the end of 2013, Tesla started construction of charging network. So far, Tesla has built more than 760 super charging stations and more than 700 destination charging stations in China, covering more than 300 cities.
Tesla's manufacturing factory in Shanghai was officially completed and put into production in February this year, with an initial planned annual production capacity of up to 10,000 units. The company's charging network will be further accelerated.
