BEIJING, March 5 (Xinhua) -- South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region plans to launch a series of measures to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the province's transportation services in 2021, reported by Guangxi Daily on Wednesday.
By opening one or two cargo routes from Nanning to Southeast Asia and South Asia and other measures, Guangxi aims to further optimize the transportation structure, improve the level of passenger and cargo intermodal transportation, and promote the port's comprehensive service level and cross-border transportation facilitation.
Guangxi will promote cost reduction and efficiency increase in logistics, accelerate the adjustment of transportation structure and promote the transformation of bulk cargo transportation from road to railway and waterway, develop multimodal transportation, and promote the integrated development of "Internet + freight".
In terms of the quality of travel services, Guangxi plans to realize the full-speed operation of the region's high-speed rail lines, improve the urban public transportation service network, and actively develop customized public transportation and expand the coverage of the Guangxi Transportation All-in-One Card in cities and counties.
In addition, Guangxi will also increase international transportation cooperation, add three new international road transport routes and promote the large-scale opening of the cross-border trains between China and Vietnam.
