BEIJING, March 3 (Xinhua) -- Northwest China's Qinghai province plans to complete fixed assets investment of 24 billion yuan in transportation area this year, reported by Qinghai Daily on Tuesday.
The investment plan aims to further improve the road infrastructure network and provide high quality traffic supports for the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy and the construction of a new socialist modernization in Qinghai.
Starting from February 18, construction of the Jiading-Haiyan highway project in Qinghai has been advanced to a speed of 6 to 8 meters per day, with 729 workers on-site, said Yang Hongyuan, the deputy general manager of Power China Qinghai Jiaxi Road Construction Co., Ltd.
The Jiading-Haiyan highway with a total length of about 216 kilometers is a key transportation project in Qinghai. It will connect Huzhu, Datong and Haiyan, including the three places in the one-hour economic circle centered on Xining and promote the rapid development of regional economy.
Since the beginning of this year, Qinghai provincial transportation department has been vigorously promoting the resumption of transportation construction projects including 23 continued highway projects.
